Three against Two demo

This is a little exercise I've put together to practice playing a triplet rhythm over a "straight" rhythm. If you've come direct to this page you might like to read the Triplet Craziness blog entry which gives a bit of background.

Use the tempo slider to slow it down and try clapping the different parts.

  • The quaver triplet player counts an even 1 2 3 4 5 6 (twice for each bar)
  • The straight quavers player counts 1 2+ 3 4 5+ 6 etc.
  • The crotchet triplets player counts 1 2 3 4 5 6 etc.
  • The straight crotchets player counts 1 2 3 4 5 6 etc.
